Our Team

Kahmin Ong

Clinical Research Coordinator
MFA in Design Research and Development

Kahmin graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (Honours, Highest Distinction) in Industrial Design from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in May 2022 and attained her Master of Fine Arts in Design Research and Development at The Ohio State University in May 2026. A dedicated and inquisitive designer, she has built a robust foundation in both design research and professional practice. During her undergraduate years, she co-founded a communication design studio within NUS, where she led interdisciplinary projects that combined storytelling, motion design, and systems thinking to communicate complex ideas with clarity and empathy.

Accumulated an extensive experience working across Singapore’s diverse design landscape, collaborating with corporations, government boards, research studios, and consultancies. Her professional portfolio includes engagements with organizations such as the Health Promotion Board, Shopee, Foolproof Singapore, and various academic partners. These roles strengthened her ability to translate strategic insights into human-centered solutions, bridging communication gaps between institutions, technology, and everyday users.

Now as a research coordinator, her primary interest lies in designing innovative research approaches and solutions that promote physical wellness and preventative care. Her work explores how thoughtful design, rooted in empathy, accessibility, and evidence, can empower people to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Outside of work, she is just an old soul with grandma hobbies.
