Our Story
The Rehabilitation Engineering Design (RED) Laboratory was established in 2022 at the Ohio State University. RED aims to build assistive health technologies to empower people with disabilities. At Ohio State, RED connects the College of Medicine School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with the Assistive Technology clinic at the Martha Morehouse Outpatient Care, and the Colleges of Engineering and Arts and
Sciences. Further, RED conducts active research with national and international service and industry partners.
Our research projects have always been an interdisciplinary mix. Clinical and technical students engage in research that blend technology development with human subject investigations. As we continue to empower the disability community with our research outputs, please consider joining us or participate in our ongoing studies.
